Who we are
HIK Gaming is an independent online magazine dedicated to video games, founded in 2026. Our distinctive feature? An editorial team publishing simultaneously in five languages — French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and German — to speak to players where they are, in the language they prefer.
We are not affiliated with any publisher, platform or studio. Our only loyalty is to our readers and the gaming community.
Our mission
To cover video games with honesty, rigour and without complacency. Neither empty hype nor gratuitous trashing: we believe the medium deserves journalism that takes the time to analyse, compare and contextualise. When a game is exceptional, we say so. When it fails, we explain why. When it is nuanced — which is to say, often — we dig deeper.
Our editorial line
A few simple principles we apply to every article:
- Transparent scores (0-10): every review publishes a final score with its criteria. The score sums up, the article explains.
- Clear separation between review and advertising: sponsored content is always labelled as such, never disguised as a review.
- No free keys that bias scores: receiving a press code does not buy our opinion. When we review with a complimentary copy, we say so at the top of the article.
- Independence of opinion: every contributor signs their work. No opinion is imposed by management.
- Owned corrections: if we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and date the update.

- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2), Steam Deck, VR headsets (Meta Quest, PSVR2, Valve Index).
- Formats: reviews, news, guides, long-form analysis, rankings, interviews, event reports (gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, Summer Game Fest).
- Topics: AAA and indie, esports, live-service games, retro gaming, modding, hardware and accessories.
